Eeek - first blog post?

Here we are… my first blog post!

I’m going to use this one to explain a bit about myself and why i’ve set up this website. The others will be much more politically focused, because lets face it, that’s what you’re here for!

I’m Clare - CGA were my staff initials at school, and the name of my tutor group (the ever-wonderful 7CGA) and so these have sort of stuck. I was a teacher for 8 years, (9 including my training year), and most of the time, I just LOVED teaching. I loved learning new things and taking on new topics, making new resources and seeing my students do well was just the best. thing. ever.

I didn’t however, love the piles of marking and stupidly long hours quite so much. So I now work in a legal office, which specialises in Family Law, and gives me plenty of new opportunities to learn new skills and help people, just in a different way to before.

Education will remain my first love though - and I especially miss teaching politics. So this website is designed as a way for me to keep in the political loop and keep designing educational resources. I’m hoping it will help to break down some of the trickiest bits of the Politics course, because let’s face it, it is not easy!

I also offer tutoring sessions in the evenings around my work commitments, so if that’s something you’re interested in, i’d love to hear from you.
